Orit Sela Svirsky, 70, was a native of Kibbutz Be’eri, a talented artist and a peace activist with Women Wage Peace. Friends remembered her as curious, creative and full of life, with interests in music, Buddhism and art; she also founded Be’eri’s art museum and nurtured a beautiful garden near her home. On October 7, Hamas terrorists murdered Orit in her home. Her son Itay, visiting for Simhat Torah, was abducted to Gaza and later murdered in captivity.
