Pessi, 68, was a Kibbutz Be’eri resident whose home became the site of one of the most harrowing hostage standoffs on October 7. Her sister Hani, brother-in-law Zizi and nephew Tal were visiting for the holiday. Hamas terrorists forced numerous residents into Pessi’s home and held them hostage there during a battle with Israeli forces. Pessi and her three visiting relatives were among those killed.
