Ram Itamari, 56, lived at Kibbutz Kfar Aza with his wife, Lili. He worked as a transportation manager and safety officer and was remembered by a colleague as an extraordinary kibbutznik — tough on the outside but soft on the inside. Ram and Lili loved traveling abroad together and were the parents of Tomer and Raz. On October 7, the couple sheltered in the reinforced room of their home as Hamas terrorists attacked the kibbutz. Their house was burned, and it took three weeks before they could be formally identified. Their daughter remembered Ram as her confidant and said there was not a day when they did not speak.
