Ravid, 51, was born and raised in Kibbutz Nir Oz and devoted his career to education. After serving as a Nahal paramedic, he studied informal education and worked as a teacher, guidance counselor and community counselor for at-risk youth. A father of three, he loved cooking, traveling around Israel and teaching his children to ask questions, value friendship and enjoy life’s small things.
Killed on October 7 while defending Nir Oz; body abducted to Gaza and recovered July 2024
