Regev Amar, 20, of Kibbutz Sde Nehemia, was a Paratroopers soldier, water-polo player and nature lover who dreamed of studying medicine. On October 7, his squad commander’s course was sent to fight the Hamas invasion near Gaza. Regev battled terrorists at several locations before reaching Kibbutz Kissufim, where he was shot three times. He told comrades not to risk themselves trying to rescue him and died in the battle.
