Rosa Yadgarov, 80, and her husband Yuri immigrated to Israel from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in the 1990s and made their home within Ofakim’s Bukharian community. They were the parents of one son, Mark, and spent decades building their family’s life in Israel. On October 7, Rosa and Yuri were trying to reach a bomb shelter with their son when terrorists opened fire outside their home. Both were murdered. They are remembered together as a devoted immigrant couple whose shared journey took them from Tashkent to a new life and family in Israel.
