Ruti, 67, and her husband Arieh were longtime residents of Netiv Ha’asara, a community they helped establish after being evacuated from Yamit in the Sinai. Their family remembered them as modest, hardworking people of the earth whose children, grandchildren and community were their whole world. Ruti was remembered for weaving flowers and for the food she lovingly prepared. She, Arieh and their daughter Or were murdered together at home.
