Tiberias. An employee of the Israel Electric Corporation
Shalom Abudi, 56, of Tiberias, devoted roughly 34 years of his life to the Israel Electric Corporation, maintaining the electricity network across northern Israel. A husband to Orly and father of two, he was remembered by relatives and colleagues as warmhearted, joyful, loving and generous, with a smile and welcoming manner that stayed with people. His work was also a form of public service: during the war he continued joining crews repairing damaged power lines so homes, farms and essential facilities could receive electricity. In 2026, a community tree-planting ceremony in the Upper Galilee was dedicated to his memory and to the spirit of service he represented.
