Shilo Rauchberger, 23, of Eli, was a Golani platoon commander and longtime volunteer who wanted to bring people together and add goodness to the world. When Hamas terrorists attacked his Gaza-border outpost on October 7, Shilo positioned himself at the entrance to the shelter to protect the soldiers inside. Though wounded in the arm, he kept fighting for hours until he succumbed to his wounds.
