Shira Ayalon, 23, of Rishon LeZion, was remembered by her family as independent, mature, gentle and deeply kind. A vegan who loved nature, animals and travel, she had recently returned from India, where she studied yoga, and volunteered at an animal shelter. Shira was preparing to move to Beersheba and begin studying psychology at Ben-Gurion University. On October 7, she attended the Supernova festival with her childhood friend Amit Lahav. Both were murdered in the attack. Her sister said Shira had found herself in the years before her death and embraced laughter, music, freedom and peace.
