Kibbutz Be'eri
Tahel Bira, 15, lived at Kibbutz Be’eri with her parents, Oron and Yasmin, and her siblings. A month before the attack, her parents had traveled to Portugal to arrange Portuguese citizenship documents for their children. On October 7, Tahel sheltered with her family as Hamas terrorists overran the kibbutz and tried to break into their home. Tahel, her parents, her sister Tahir and her uncle Tal were all murdered. For nearly two weeks, relatives held onto hope that the family had been taken hostage before their remains were found and identified. Her older brother Yahav was the family’s sole survivor.
