Tahir Bira, 22, lived at Kibbutz Be’eri with her parents, Oron and Yasmin, her younger sister Tahel and her older brother Yahav. Her parents had recently traveled to Portugal to secure Portuguese passports and apply for their children. On October 7, Tahir was with her family as Hamas terrorists invaded Be’eri. Tahir, her parents, Tahel and her uncle Tal were murdered. For nearly two weeks afterward, relatives and friends hoped the five might have been taken hostage before their remains were discovered and identified. Yahav was the family’s sole survivor.
