Tamar grew up in Jerusalem and met her husband, Yonatan “Johnny” Siman Tov, during their army service. An artist, educator and social entrepreneur, she was running for mayor of the Eshkol region. She and Johnny built a happy life in Kibbutz Nir Oz with their three young children, Shahar, Arbel and Omer.
