Celeste “Tchelet” Fishbein, 18, lived in Kibbutz Urim and worked as a babysitter in nearby Kibbutz Be’eri. During the October 7 attack, she forwarded an urgent warning that helped her family remain safely sheltered. Celeste and her boyfriend, Dor Reder, 23, hid in a safe room in Be’eri but were abducted by Hamas terrorists who entered the home. According to her uncle, the couple were killed while being taken toward Gaza. Celeste had hoped to save money and travel through Brazil to explore her family’s roots.
