Thanakrit Prakotwong

Thanakrit Prakotwong, 37, an agricultural worker from Sukhothai province in northern Thailand, was the youngest of eight siblings. His parents had died, and for about four years he worked in Israel, sending money home to his extended family while saving for his own future. His siblings remembered him as a good, hardworking and selfless person. Thanakrit dreamed of returning to Thailand to grow cocoa and coffee on land beside his home, and he hoped to help pay for his niece’s medical-school education. He was killed at Kibbutz Holit on October 7. His family remembered the loss not only of a brother, but of someone who worked tirelessly to care for them.
