Vitaly Karasik, 38, was a veteran police crime-scene investigator, husband and father of two who loved his family, rock music and life. He was working security at the Supernova festival on October 7 to earn extra income for his family. As Hamas gunmen arrived, Vitaly helped evacuate partygoers and then confronted the heavily armed attackers with only his handgun. He was killed in the firefight.
