Wolderaphael (Tiger) Hagos Berhe

Wolderaphael “Tiger” Hagos Berhe, 40, was an Eritrean asylum seeker and musician living in Sderot. He played and sang with the krar, a traditional string instrument, and also worked various jobs around the city. Friends knew him simply as Tiger, while his social-media posts reflected both his love of music and his continuing affection for his homeland, Eritrea.
Wolderaphael (Tiger) Hagos Berhe, 40, an Eritrean asylum seeker, was killed in the Hamas massacre in Sderot on October 7. His unidentified body was held by the authorities until recently when they were able to identify it using a DNA sample. His body was returned to Eritrea where his mother and son live, for burial.
