Kibbutz Be’eri
Yarin Ma’ari Peled, 20, was a combat medic and longtime Magen David Adom volunteer who had dedicated herself to saving lives since her teens. She was killed during the battle at the Nahal Oz military base on October 7. A note was later found in her pocket asking that, if she fell in battle, Magen David Adom personnel attend her funeral in uniform. Hundreds came, many honoring that final request.
