Yaroslav “Slava” Giller

Yaroslav “Slava” Giller, 28, of Karmiel, was the younger son of Yuri Giller, who had immigrated to Israel from Yekaterinburg with his two sons in the 1990s. Slava built his life in northern Israel and was part of Karmiel’s community of young people who attended the Nova music festival. He was murdered there on October 7. His father later spoke publicly about the profound pain of losing his son while remaining in northern Israel during the war. Karmiel subsequently created a Nova memorial honoring Slava and six other city residents who were murdered at the festival.
