Yazan Zecharia Abu Jama
5 years old
Yazan Zecharia Abu Jama, 5, lived in Arara in the Negev. Public memorial records preserve only a small amount of information about his short life, but they remember him first and foremost as a child whose future was taken from him. Yazan was killed near his home by rocket fire on October 7. He was only five years old. His official memorial records note the family he left behind, while later remembrances speak of the childhood he should have had — playing with friends, growing up and dreaming about his future. His name remains part of the remembrance of the children killed on October 7.
