Yehonatan Hajbi, 18, of Moshav Yakhini, was working on his grandfather Saadia’s farm and staying nearby at his uncle’s home. He was the son of Keren Zehavi and Nir Hajbi. When terrorists entered Yakhini on October 7, Yehonatan was shot while standing with his grandfather and aunt. His aunt Hadar cared for him for hours while his parents desperately sought medical help from afar. As his condition worsened, hearing his mother’s voice over the phone calmed him. Yehonatan died in his aunt’s arms, surrounded by family who fought desperately to save him.
