Mevaseret Zion
Yehonatan “Jonathan” Rom, 23, of Mevaseret Zion, was an Israeli-American music lover who loved traveling and had recently returned from months in South America while deciding what to study next. He was a devoted fan of Israeli singer Shlomo Artzi and even had lyrics from one of his songs tattooed on his leg. On October 7, Jonathan was at the Supernova festival when the attack began. A childhood friend said he separated from his group to help a friend who was having a panic attack. The two tried to escape together but were murdered. His family remembered that in his final moments, Jonathan chose to help someone else.
