Yishay Slotki, 24, was a reservist, husband and new father who lived in Beersheba. When he and his older brother Noam realized the scale of the October 7 attack, they did not wait to be called up. The brothers drove together toward the Gaza border to help defend communities under assault. Yishay was killed fighting Hamas terrorists near Kibbutz Alumim, alongside Noam. They were buried side by side on Mount Herzl.
