Yitzhak “Zizi” Sitton, 76, of Hod Hasharon, worked first in the textile industry and later managed a diamond factory in South Africa, splitting his time between there and Israel. He and his wife Hanna traveled with their son Tal to Kibbutz Be’eri to spend Simhat Torah with Hanna’s sister, Pessi Cohen. Hamas terrorists took the family hostage and forced them into Pessi’s home. Family members later said Yitzhak was shot and killed by Hamas before Israeli forces arrived.
