Yonat Or

Yonat Or, 50, of Kibbutz Be’eri, was an acclaimed furniture designer, carpenter and entrepreneur who transformed a childhood connection to woodworking into the successful Ayuna carpentry and interior-design studio. Her father had managed Be’eri’s carpentry shop, and Yonat grew up among wood shavings before continuing the family craft herself. Her work won national recognition and found its way into homes across Israel. Friends and colleagues remembered her as talented, strong, modest, kind and peace-loving, with a rare creative gift. Above all, her family remembered a warmhearted mother of three with an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep love of creating beautiful things.
