Yossi Silberman, 67, was born in Argentina and had lived in Israel for about 40 years, becoming one of the early cultivators of Kibbutz Nir Oz’s fields. He and his wife Margit built their lives and family in the kibbutz. On October 7, Hamas terrorists murdered Yossi and Margit in Nir Oz. Their daughter Shiri Bibas and grandsons Ariel and Kfir were abducted alive to Gaza and later murdered in captivity; son-in-law Yarden Bibas was abducted separately and later released alive.
