Yuri Yadgarov, 78, and his wife Rosa built their life in Israel after making aliyah from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in the 1990s. They became part of Ofakim’s Bukharian community and raised their only son, Mark. Yuri worked for close to twenty years for the Israel Nature and Parks Authority. On October 7, the couple left their home with their son and headed toward a bomb shelter when terrorists opened fire. Yuri and Rosa were murdered together. Their son remembered the parents whose lives had been built through immigration, work, family and community.
